This portfolio highlights my approach to teaching through my Statement of Teaching Philosophy, a literary photo tour that I incorporate into my lessons about the Lake Poets, and an original essay that I assign to my First Year Composition students to stimulate class discussions and dispel the notion of “writer’s block.”
I am committed to developing innovative teaching approaches and providing engaging learning experiences for my students. As such, I will continue to update this portfolio with additional original materials and resources that I create to enrich my teaching and that I am happy to share with fellow educators.
My ultimate goal is to create an inclusive and challenging learning environment that fosters a lifelong love of learning, and equips my students with the necessary skills to thrive in their future academic and professional endeavors. This portfolio is a testament to my dedication to effective and dynamic teaching practices, and I hope that it provides a glimpse into my teaching philosophy and methods.
